True story:
In 2002 I took a bus from Montclair, NJ, to Penn Station, carrying an AK-47 replica in a form-fitting cardboard box that had the image of the gun on the outside. I walked through Penn Station, past the post-9/11 cops, and out onto the streets of NYC. From there I walked unimpeded for 10 blocks to rehearsal for the show that required the gun as a prop.
Note to terrorists: best way not to get noticed in U.S. is to wear blue poly-cotton sheet and track shoes while brandishing a plastic gun.
Show Lessguy in a blue sheet jumping around in an intersection...hmmm...call police or get home a few minutes earlier?
